I have been hearing a lot about the trails at Hells gate state park. I have been to the park before and its overall pretty decent in my eyes, but I have never been on the trails. I did some research before and was pleased to see there was a map with everything clearly explained. The trails can be used for walking, running, biking, and horseback riding. Today I only walked the easy street, sundown and half of the Billy trail. My first impression was good, the side trails need some love as they’re kind of overgrown but the main trail was in pretty good condition. The trails are in an open area on a hill so there wasn’t any sun cover and there were some uphill and downhill parts. I would watch out for ticks in the tall grass. I enjoyed the walk, currently there were a lot of flowers blooming adding some nice colors (I’ll post pictures). I’m definitely coming back to explore the rest of the trails and use these trails as my go too exercise.
